The personal papers of the Glaister family provide a wide range of research material. These cover the period 1837-1969 and comprise material from many parts of the lives of the two John Glaisters including Glaister Senior’s student papers, correspondence, genealogical materials, scrapbooks, and photographs. Glaister Junior’s papers include student and military papers, papers and photographs from Egypt, correspondence, notes and lectures, material relating to his novel and autobiography, material relating to the two television programmes he was involved with for Scottish Television and the BBC, as well as photographs and scrapbooks.
